| I have a 1986 Mariner 175. After it rains the tilt motor runs up and will not stop unless I disconnect the up solenoid. I have disconnected all 3 trim switches so I know that they are not the problem. |

Hello, I would change the solenoid. You could swap the up and down solenoids and see the the problem shifts to the down side. If so, it is definatly the solenoid.  |
